Just Stand

“…Having done all to stand, stand therefore…” (Ephesians 6:13-14 KJV)

We must stand in the day of adversity. No matter what it looks like, no matter how it feels. We must stand. Why is standing so important? Why didn’t the Scriptures say just to lounge or recline or run or dance?

Standing is an important battle position. Just from a logistical standpoint, we can see more, we can do more. We can be more agile and better prepared to fight the good fight of faith. As the context of the scriptures above explain, our battle requires us to stand, fully armored, no matter what. We can’t lay down and fight. We have to get up and war for our victories! ⚔️

Physically, it seems tougher to just stand than to walk. If I could just move around a bit and get the blood circulating 😄, then maybe it won’t be so bad. I think the fact that the Lord wants us to stand is very intentional. Standing requires stamina, which we cannot achieve optimally without Him!!  We must stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. (Exodus 14:13)

I know the standing gets long and hard and wearying, but I am praying over you fresh winds from Holy Spirit! Through the tears, the fears, the uncertainty, the unbelief, I am praying that you will have staying and standing power.  Not in your own strength, but in His! 💪 Praying also that you’ll have revelation that you’re standing on Christ the Rock and no storm of life will make you fall! (Matthew 7:25) You are built from God stock. As He is, so are you in this world. (1 John 4:17)

Just stand.

You’ll be so glad you did! 🙌
