Diligence

I felt like the Lord was saying:

“I want you to be diligent in everything you do. Let nothing slip, let nothing pass you by because of negligence. Diligence is the high road. Diligence is the way to go. Diligence is nothing more than following My directions and seeing them through to completion. Seek My face for the answers; be diligent about it. Seek Me for strategy; be diligent about it. Seek Me and be obedient. Diligence doesn’t work as well without obedience. Make sure you are diligent about what I want you to be diligent about…not what you think you should be diligent about. Walk in My ways and you will see how diligence pays off. The best form of diligence is to seek Me and My ways. Seek Me and I will be found by you and commune with you. Your diligence will pay off especially if your motive is to get to know Me and My ways better. Spend time soaking up My presence diligently. Constantly and completely.”

Throughout Deuteronomy, the Lord explains the benefits of diligently hearkening to His voice (by listening and obeying). The same holds true for us today, maybe even more so.  Hebrews 11:6 says:

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

These scriptures point back to being diligent about what God has told us to do and placing His voice, His ways, His plans, His will as our highest priority.

If we do these things above, we will have this testimony:

I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me. (Proverbs 8:17)

…but the hand of the diligent makes rich. (Proverbs 10:4)

Be diligent. 👌💞
