No Complaining

Do everything without complaining and arguing, (Philippians 2:14 NLT)

“I am so tired of…”

“I can’t believe they did that!”

“Why is this happening to me?”

“This is the worst… “

Does any of that sound familiar? Or something similar? I am sure you don’t need me to give you examples of complaining lol.  However, you slice or dice it— complaining is no good.

The Lord talks to us about complaining and tells us not to do it. Just look at the children of Israel in the Bible. For many instances, we can easily say they were some complaining folks lol.

But are we any different??

We want to make sure everybody knows our displeasure with people, situations, things. But that’s not the way of the Kingdom! The way of the Kingdom is to speak, decree, declare, change. We must bring the Kingdom into every situation.

We don’t allow whatever it is that is not like the Kingdom to consume us, especially not to the point that our disposition is changed. (Romans 14:17; Luke 17:20,21)

Complaining exhibits a lack of peace and it causes peace to flee.

We don’t want to be those type of people who suggest by our words and actions that God is nowhere in our equations. That our communion, fellowship, involvement with Him produce no results.

Wow. Let that sink in.

Think about that the next time you want to “air your grievances.” Yes, I know that things stink, lol but we have to tackle the problems differently. We don’t complain, though. We pray and ask the Lord to help give us a solution or even help us be one.
