And Elijah came near to all the people and said, \u201cHow long will you go limping between two different opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him.\u201d And the people did not answer him a word.\u201d<\/em> 1 Kings 18:21 ESV

In short, no compromise! There\u2019s no other way to say it. Elijah admonished the children of Israel (basically) to get it together. Sounds similar toJesus\u2019 words:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSo, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.<\/em> Revelation 3:16 ESV

\u00a0Now if that doesn\u2019t confirm the stance \u201cno compromise,\u201d I don\u2019t know what does!

God doesn\u2019t want us wavering between \u201cthe way\u201d and \u201cnot the way.\u201d It\u2019s really as simple as that. We must think about it in terms of doing His will. How can we say I delight to do Your will (Psalm 40:8) and then we don\u2019t\u2026actually\u2026do\u2026His will?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Doing His will is often a hard stance. It\u2019s hard because we must do exactly what He says and we cannot waver. We must stand firm and secure knowing that His Word is the final authority. Any deviation from it, is compromise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We compromise on our obedience. We compromise on our faith. We compromise in word. We compromise in deed. We compromise in conviction. We compromise in execution. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We all have done it. Some sort of compromise–whether or not we would like to admit it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Compromise may come due to fear, laziness, complacency or ignorance; it\u2019s not acceptable.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Choose to stand firm to obey His written and direct Word to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No compromise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
