Self-preservation became the rule of the day.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Self-preservation is just devotion to one\u2019s own well being. Instead of spending time preserving our relationship, one spends time preserving themselves.<\/em> A few scriptures to whet our appetites for a more devoted relationship with the Lord:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cLet your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.\u201d 1 Kings 8:61 KJV<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe one thing I ask of the Lord\u2014 the thing I seek most\u2014 is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, delighting in the Lord\u2019s perfections and meditating in his Temple.\u201d Psalms 27:4 NLT<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnd ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.\u201d Jeremiah 29:13 KJV<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lord, please help us to draw close to You and have our own Garden experiences. When I\u2019m not the focus, things get skewed. You must always keep your eyes on Me. You must see Me as the main thing and all other things get put to the side. They take a backseat to your devotion to Me. I am all consuming. Allow Me to reach you & connect with you in a way that only I can.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
