Now isn\u2019t that the truth?! Dare I say, we must wrestle to rest? The rest of the King of kings and Lord of lords doesn\u2019t initially come easy. However, we must remember who we are in Him and the benefits of rest. We don\u2019t want to fall or fail because of disobedience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Why is it such a labor\/wrestle\/struggle, etc? My theory is that our natural man, our natural tendency is toward activity. We always feel like we need to be doing something. As if doing something, in this Kingdom, puts us any higher on the list of deserving recipients of God\u2019s grace.
Our labor is to rest. That sounds like a lazy man\u2019s dream lol! But it\u2019s actually anything but lazy. It\u2019s trusting. Who do we trust? Our own ability to get the job done or the one who called us to rest in the first place? Who do we trust in? Us or Him?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our level of rest is indicative of our level of trust in God. When we trust, we rest. There\u2019s no other way to explain it or get around it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are approaching the end of the year, with alllllll of the things. However, let this year be different. Let\u2019s be super intentional to follow His directives from a place of rest. Even if we do have to wrestle.. we win!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
