Another Leap Day is here and it got me thinking. What can we say about \u201cleap\u201d?\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I think of leaping for joy or my heart leaping when something good happens for me or someone else.\u00a0 (I know, I know. My hubby & boys already make fun of me about the latter. But it\u2019s true\u2026😜)\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I also think about 2 Samuel 22:30:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For by you I can run against a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n This has always been an encouraging strength scripture for me. It’s likened to the one about being able to do all things through Christ who gives us strength.👌(Philippians 4:13)<\/p>\n\n\n\n Joy. Strength. There\u2019s a scripture about that somewhere. (😉 Nehemiah 8:10)\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Joy. Strength. Leaping. Hmmm. There\u2019s something to this.🤔<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Bible gives examples of joyful leaping (which no one would be able to do if they didn\u2019t have strength):<\/p>\n\n\n\n David when the ark came to the City (2 Samuel 6:16) That last one hit home, didn\u2019t it? Who really wants to be like \u201cWoohooo, the enemy in this person is making my life miserable!!\u201d? 😆 But Jesus says to do so because our reward is great in Heaven! Now, that\u2019s a fact about which to leap joyfully! 😍<\/p>\n\n\n\n Why do we need to leap, though? It\u2019s an outward manifestation of an inward expression of joy.
