Are you content? Can you really<\/em> say that you are content with your station\/your lot in life? I\u2019ve been thinking about this for a few weeks (really years, but whatever 😉).  I would be willing to wager (if I did that kind of thing 😏), that most people are NOT content. Even Christians. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why are we discontent?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

✅It\u2019s because we are always looking for the next.
✅It\u2019s because we KNOW that our current situation isn\u2019t all there is.
✅It\u2019s because we are trying to keep up with the Joneses.
✅It\u2019s because we are not comfortable with who we are.
✅(Insert your reason here.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I heard a quote\u2014\u201cUntil you make peace with who you are, you will never be content with what you have.\u201d Discontentment is a peace thief! Stop it in its tracks!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can our discontentment be of our own doing? Dare I say that? Don\u2019t shoot the messenger but think about it. 🤔🤔<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have to CHOOSE<\/strong> to be content. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are some good scriptures to chew on and to apply to your own life:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. <\/em>(Philippians 4:11)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. <\/em>(1 Timothy 6:8)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IF our needs are met, we may be content. But what if they aren’t?? Discontentment can come a-calling a-gain. However, there is a better way, as described in these scriptures:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But godliness with contentment is great gain.<\/em> (1 Timothy 6:6)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, \u201cI will never leave you nor forsake you.<\/em>\u201d (Hebrews 13:5)

We have to look to the One who should be our Source of everything: JESUS!!!🎉🎊<\/p>\n\n\n\n

✅We have to be content to know Him. 
✅We have to be content to walk in His ways.
✅We have to be content in His presence.
✅We have to be content to be fully in love with Him.
✅We have to be content to find our identity in Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Until we realize this, we will be like a dog chasing his tail\u2014getting nowhere fast. Our contentment has to come from Him and nowhere else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I feel like the Lord is asking you the same question He asked me years ago, \u201cAm I not enough?\u201d 🫣🙌<\/p>\n\n\n\n
